Speaking to the printed Celtic View, Celtic coach John Kennedy has heaped praise on Vakoun Issouf Bayo and expects him to be a big hit.
Let’s be honest, we don’t know much about the forward right now but the Bhoys sounded him out and we have a decent track record in recent years of bringing in a striker that can score goals.
We’ll be hoping Bayo can help the Bhoys out in that regard, then, and it seems as though Kennedy is expecting him to have a big impact for us.
He had this to say:
“In and around the box, he’s also very powerful, he’s very aggressive in the air.
“When teams are camped in and trying to defend the box, he’s the type of player who can give you the option of going around the outside, getting balls into the box and that’s where he comes into his own.”
He sounds like he has got some explosive power and dynamism, then, and it would bode well for us if he can bring that.
We’ve got a frontline now with plenty of pace and potential – let’s hope they can unlock that and really bring the noise in the coming weeks and months.
