Another interview and another question about Ange being linked to the English Premier League.

Even though Vital Celtic took apart the BBC’s claim that Leicester are putting Ange under ‘serious scrutiny’ but as with all things in the media, as soon as a major broadcaster puts a story out there, the inevitable snowball effect of questions and counter questions are always going to happen.

However, Ange was asked, again, about these links in a recent interview with an Australian radio host and doing what he does best, the gaffer gave an excellent answer.

Speaking on the Whateley The Voice show, Postecoglou said, “I think it’s one of those things that I’m on that size of the world and I have more of an impact on everything I do.

“Particularly in the Champions League because everyone watches it irrespective of what your playing in.

“I think the way the way the team is playing particularly the football we are playing is getting a lot of attention, which is brilliant.

“I’m not looking too far ahead and I’m just really enjoying the space I am in right now.

“It’s a massive football club, it’s got the most passionate of supporters.

“I’ve got an opportunity to win things and play in massive competitions.

“It’s everything I’ve wanted in terms of a football experience for what I do is right at my doorstep and I am not looking beyond that right now.”

Ange has it spot on and to be honest, it’s what the Celtic bloggers and supporters have been saying all along.

The Celtic boss has a great opportunity at Parkhead. Manager of a massive club that is pretty much guaranteed silverware every season and the opportunity to mix it with the big boys in European competition every season.

Why would he give that up and the fact he is adored by many thousands of Celtic fans every week for what would be mid table mediocrity in the English Premier League?

Yes, I know he would be facing the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United and have more money and earn more money, but I just don’t think that is what motivates Ange at this moment in time.

He is building something special at Celtic.

I just have the feeling he wants to see it through before he moves on.

It’s the dreaded international break. So take away the boredom and try our *BRAND NEW* quiz. Who are Celtic’s most capped players from these countries?
