After Celtic’s loss to St Mirren the knives have been out for certain players at the club.

Daizen Maeda and David Turnbull have all been singled out for criticism as well as Ange’s summer signing Aaron Mooy.

The big Aussie got his chance on Sunday and failed to impress and to be fair to him, the whole team didn’t turn up.

Some have said that he may not start for Celtic again, others like me, have said he needs time to settle into the team.

His game time has been very limited this season and I think, barring Sunday aside, we should stick with him for the moment.

And that is exactly what Ange Postecoglou intends to do.

Ange was Adelaide Now via Glasgow Live, Mooy and his chances of being fit for the World Cup and said,  “We’ve taken our time with him to get him up to speed.

“He’s in a good place back in Scotland with his family, playing again for a big club. We’ve got a hell of a program after this international break.

“We have 13-14 games in 6-7 weeks, so he’ll have plenty of football before the World Cup and be raring to go.”

I’m hoping he is not going to get more minutes with the sole aim to getting him fit for the World Cup.

From what we’ve seen so far from Mooy, coming off the bench, he is impressive. He needs to now show his worth from the start and unfortunately for him, Sunday done him no favours at all.

It’s the dreaded international break. So take away the boredom and try our *BRAND NEW* quiz. Who are Celtic’s most capped players from these countries?
