It was one we all were worried about.

The minute Josip Juranovic let out that scream in the Scottish Cup semi final, you just knew at that moment something was not quite right with the fans favourite full back.

A report in Football Scotland claims, “Football Scotland understands the full-back will struggle for fitness before mid-May.

“That means the 26-year-old will likely be missing for matches against Ross County, Gers, Hearts and potentially Dundee United on May 11.

“There have also been reports that Cameron Carter-Vickers could miss some action after a gruelling schedule but these claims are unfounded at this time.”

This will come as a massive shock to the Celtic support who were just starting to enjoy seeing a fully fit and rotational squad over the last few weeks and there is absolutely no doubt that losing these two key players will come as a major set back for Ange Postecoglou’s hunt for the SPFL title.

Juranovic and Carter Vickers have both been main stays in the Celtic team this season and although there is sufficient cover for both positions with Anthony Ralston and Stephen Welsh waiting in the wings, both these players are quality and they will be sorely missed over the course of the next few weeks.
