This certainly is a day for transfer stories, isn’t it?
With the impending transfer of Sead Haksabanovic [Daily Record] and the exit of Christopher Jullien [L’Equipe], Ange Postecoglou is seriously ramping up his transfer movement with only just over nine days of the window left.
Next up, is Albian Ajeti.
Just this afternoon, Vital Celtic reported that the club will be turning their attention to offloading the Swiss international as soon as the Haksabanovic deal was concluded, and it may be simpler than we first thought.
Football Scotland claims reports from Spain suggest that Ajeti is attracting interest from Racing Santander in Spain’s second tier.
The report doesn’t name the sources but it does seem now that Ange Postecoglou is looking to remove all fringe players in this transfer window.
Would a move to the Spanish second tier be beneficial to Ajeti?
We are talking about a player with 11 caps for his country and if wants to revive his international career, then would moving to the Spanish Second division be advisable?
After two fixtures and two losses, Santander already sit in the relegation places after defeats to Villareal B and Granada.
If Ajeti does decide to take his chances at Los Verdiblancos, he could be in for a very tough season ahead.
If he actually wants to get game time he’d be daft not to go, second tier relegation battle or not. No-one else seems interested…
