According to Football Insider, Celtic have got until January to try and get Odsonne Edouard on a new deal worth £30k-a-week or risk him having offers in the winter window.
We all know how good that French Eddy is now and we know that more often than not he is going to attract interest in the windows to come.
He’s started this season well and the speculation is continuing over him as Celtic look to get a new contract sorted for him to reflect the start he has had.
Indeed, such a deal should also protect us from losing him on the cheap and, therefore, it makes sense that we need to try and get this deal done before the end of the current calendar year.
Whether or not we are successful, though, remains to be seen as he is a player of considerable talent and he’s bound to have external parties in his ear.
