Honduran defender Emilio Izaguirre is on the brink of a return to Celtic and fans would love to see it happen.
As we discussed yesterday, the former fan favourite is in discussions to arrive at Celtic Park on a free transfer after ripping up his contract in Saudi Arabia, providing much needed cover for Kieran Tierney.
There’s no doubt the Scotland international is the prime choice on the left hand side of defence, but he definitely needs a bit of support to avoid playing the amount of games he did last season.
The Hoops have so far failed to sign a replacement for Izaguirre since he left last summer and budget move for the 32-year-old ticks plenty of boxes.
Having made over 250 appearances for the club, fans know exactly what they are getting from the Honduran and the vast majority appear to want him to make a return.
