After just hitting publish on my piece about Moriyasu tripping himself up on omitting Hatate and Kyogo from the Japan national squad, Sacha Pisani also had a great reaction to the national manager’s announcement.
Kyogo and Reo Hatate are left kicking their heels again whilst they watch Daizen Maeda fly out and participate in the Kirin Cup and whilst the Hoops fans will be delighted with that, you have to feel for both players who have been in sensational form for the club this season.
And J League journalist Sacha Pisani sums it perfectly with this tweet.
If there’s one thing that Moriyasu is regularly good at, it’s making you scratch your heard.
Yes, Kyogo is yet to star at international level but how hasn’t his Celtic form warranted a Japan call-up?
Don’t get me started on Hatate. https://t.co/NVcMYQrunj

Now, the fear could be amongst the Celtic fans that Kyogo and Hatate may well get unsettled if they continue to be snubbed by Moriyasu for the national squad but what is really apparent here is that Moriyasu, with every squad selection that doesn’t include the pair, he loses a bit of credibility every, single time.
Like I said, I am glad that they are being left behind. Some decent rest and relaxation when the international break will do the pair of them good.
With a hectic April schedule coming up, we will need a fit and firing Hatate and Kyogo.
Moriyasu’s loss is certainly Ange Postecoglou’s gain.
Well it can’t be the club or the league maeda going so press can’t be saying it’s any of them we have another Japanese player who was player of the year in Japanese league so its a case of personal choice so keep playing the best they can maybe improve some things
