Celtic fans were not happy with referee Bobby Madden’s performance on Saturday, especially enraged by his refusal to take action on a tackle from Scott McKenna that forced Hoops striker Odsonne Edouard off the pitch.

The young Frenchman looked to have been clearly scythed down by the Dons man in the penalty area, but Madden refused to take action despite Edouard having to be substituted off through injury.

Replays and pictures clearly show how rash the challenge was on Edouard and on another could have resulted in not only a penalty but a red card too.

It’s not as if Madden doesn’t have previous either. Most Celtic fans would be able to list off a catalogue of errors made by the SFA official.

Thankfully the Hoops went on to win the match, but surely questions must be asked about missing such an obvious foul and dangerous challenge?

Fans took to Twitter this weekend to share their thoughts on it all…
