Celtic fans have ridiculed Rangers striker Jermain Defoe this weekend after he appeared to take another refereeing conning dive against Kilmarnock on Saturday evening.
Last week against St Mirren, many slammed Defoe for going down far too easily to win one of four penalties at Ibrox.
You’d think then that he would keep that sort of behaviour to a minimum moving forward.
In the second half yesterday evening though, the on-loan Bournemouth man hilariously flopped to the floor in the Killie box with the scoreline locked at 0-0.
It was a clear attempt to win a penalty despite no contact, which he must have thought was a certainty given his side have been awarded six in the last three matches alone.
A respected English Premier League goalscorer, he’s seriously harming his reputation with this kind of nonsense and hopefully referees are not conned further moving towards the tail-end of the season.
These Celtic fans took to Twitter this weekend to share their thoughts on the incident…
That is a shocking dive from Defoe. https://t.co/5Cnu7FQYci

Embarrassing dive again from Defoe. Covered many of his Sunderland games & can't recall him diving like this. https://t.co/rynUJut18u

That dive from Defoe looks worse every time I see it. Easy decision for any retrospective procedure…

Give the guy a break. It’s clearly a wasp sting to his ankle.

Another blatant dive from Defoe trying to steal a penalty. Not booked…again.

Just imagine Defoe gets a ban for a that dive , that would 100% send them over the edge
But seriously tho , he’s cheating by trying to con the ref , plan & simple
