The Toulon Tournament certainly provided some success for the young Scottish side in France.
Though we didn’t win the thing altogether, we did get to the semi-final and only lost to the eventual winners England so there is certainly hope for the future.
And, with that said, there’s also exciting news for our club in terms of the future with Mikey Johnston picking up third place in the Player of the Tournament award:
🥉 Mikey Johnston has been named @TournoiToulon's third best player of 2018 following his impressive performances for #SCO21s.

Certainly, this is something we should be excited about and shout about because it’s some achievement.
The Verdict
The question is now, will he start getting more minutes for our club?
Certainly, it would be exciting to see him play for us in 2018/19 but I think he might have to be content with a peripheral role in all honesty.
Without doubt, though, this award will surely catch the eye of Brendan and give him something to think about in pre-season.
