In the last few days we’ve seen that Celtic do actually have a pulse when it comes to the January transfer window and a few signings.

The likes of Timothy Weah and Oliver Burke have been added to the side to bring in attacking reinforcements and now it is time for the club to look further down the pitch.

We need a new centre-half and a right-back really and Timothy Castagne would be a very ideal signing to say the least.

Quality on the ball and with plenty of room to grow, he seems the natural successor to the ageing Mikael Lustig.

It will be tough, though, with his club seeking a permanent exit instead of a loan and his agent suggesting that a stay on the continent is possible this month.

However, if we can get over such stumbling blocks we should do all we can to try and bring him in.
