As per a report in the Scottish Sun, Craig Gordon will be back in the side for the Europa League second leg clash in Stockholm this week against AIK.
The goalkeeper was in the side for the first leg against the Swedes as we beat them by two goals and kept a clean sheet in the process.
Fraser Forster made his most recent debut for the club in the league at the weekend, though, and you would think that he is ahead of the veteran in the pecking order when it comes to our ‘keepers.
However, because Forster wasn’t at the club when the first leg was played, he is not eligible to feature in the Swedish capital and therefore Gordon is going to be back in between the sticks.
He might not be at the level he once was but he remains a reliable stopper and I am confident he’ll more than do well enough for us on Thursday night.
