The talk of the last six months has been Odsonne Edouard’s potential move out of Celtic Park this summer. With speculation linking the big Frenchman with various clubs in England and on the Continent, Talksport have revealed that Edouard and Leicester have agreed personal terms but the clubs have yet to agree a fee for the classy striker.

Edouard has been on The Foxes radar ever since Rodgers departed Paradise and with a year left on his contract, Celtic will be looking to cash in as soon as possible rather than run the risk of losing him for nothing.

Were Celtic right to ban Andy Walker from Paradise?

YES

NO

When Rodgers signed Edouard for a club record £9m back in 2017, Rodgers was full of praise and was clearly excited at bringing the then 19 year old to the club, “In Odsonne, we have signed one of the best and most exciting young strikers in Europe and I think Celtic will be a place where he can flourish, just like Moussa has done here. He will be great for us and the kind of player who will excite our fans – we have done a great job in bringing him to the club.”

With Celtic reportedly owing Paris Saint Germain 40% of any profit made on Edouard, the Hoops will be hoping to squeeze more out of the deal to get closer to the £3om valuation they put on the striker at the start of the season to scare away potential suitors.

Celtic fans will be hoping, however, that any fee recouped for the French u21 star will be invested straight back into the side to rebuild for next season.
