Dan Orlowitz is the Celtic fans go to guy.

From anything to new signings, transfer rumours and Japanese player gossip, the Japan based journalist has pretty much all the lowdown you will need after spending 15 years covering the countries sports as a journalist.

He was appearing on The Talk from the Terrace Celtic podcast on YouTube when he spoke of the potential of Celtic making millions with a tour of Japan following the signings of Kyogo, Maeda, Ideguchi and Hatate.

Orlowitz said,  “I said this in my column at the start of the month.

“If and when Celtic decided to go to Japan for a friendly, do a preseason tour, I don’t know if that will be able to happen in the summer because of as you may know, there is still a pandemic going on.

“If it can’t happen this summer, it can happen the summer or if it happens next summer.

“That tour will print money. They can put those games and any stadium in the country and it will sell out.

“Nissan stadium 72,000 seats it will sell out. Noevir stadium in Kobe, I actually don’t remember the capacity  but I think it’s close to somewhere between 40 and 50,000 (it’s 30,000). It will sell out.

“Kawasaki Todoroki stadium 24,000 It will sell out. It will those will be some of the most amazing games that Japanese fans have seen for a long time the atmosphere is going to be incredible.

“And I feel pretty confident saying that right now.

“Japan is not an easy market to conquer. Asia as a region is not an easy market to conquer because you can’t take a one size fits all approach and you have to be considerate of each country’s needs and each country’s cultures and customs.

“If Celtic can do that they can absolutely establish themselves among your Liverpool’s, your Manchester United’s, your Arsenal’s, your Bayern Munich’s.

“Those are all clubs that have gigantic footholds in Asia and Celtic are well positioned to become one of those.”

That will be like music to the ears of the Celtic directors and I am pretty positive that they MUST have plans to make this happen as soon as the pandemic is over.
