Hands up if you believe the title is over. With Celtic sitting pretty at the top of the league nine points clear and with a far superior goal difference, the chances of them overtaking us are very, very slim.

So you could be forgiven for saying the league is over, right?

Not according to Chris Sutton.

The former Celtic striker now turned pundit, took serious issue with the Daily Record’s Mick Gannon when he said that the departure of Giorgos Giakoumakis doesn’t really matter as he believes the league is already home and hosed.

Listen to Sutton’s reaction on the Record Celtic podcast:

In some ways, I hear what Sutton is saying. You can’t just assume that with the nine-point advantage we have that the league is done.

Chris can speak from experience when we lost the league at Motherwell on the final day of the season back when Rangers were alive.

But on the other hand, the way that Ange’s team are playing at the moment, we do look unstoppable.

I’m going against Sutton here. I’m calling the league.

It would take a monumental collapse for us to lose the title and under Ange, I just can’t see that happening.

I appear on the ACSOM podcast every Wednesday 1230pm-130pm. Join us for the latest chat and gossip about Celtic.

Who am I? Can you guess who this former Celt is?
