The Glasgow Derby result all but sealed the league title for Celtic on Sunday.

Six points ahead with three games to go and a superior goal difference means that only a major collapse will see the destination of the league title change direction.

And looking at our manager, he is never going to let that happen.

But it is still ok to offer your critical opinion on the talking points of the game though is it not? Not according to Hugh Keevins.

A Celtic fan called Gary called Clyde 1 Superscoreboard and offered his observation on the game, “I was at the game and I must say that the referee was a abysmal. I mean, there was two two incidences, he missed two red cards.

“Last man tackle. And he also had a booking that he was going to give and he let the play go on and then the play finished and he didn’t call the play back again.”

The tackle he was talking about was Diallo on Abada where the on loan Manchester United player cleaned out the Hoops frontman as he bore down on goal.

Keevins disagreed but then made a strange general point about the Celtic supporters, “Nah.  Gary is 100% wrong.

“I mean,  John Beaton’s performance was anything but abysmal.

“He got the big calls right.

“And, you know, Celtic supporters fascinate me. They’ve drawn the match. They have as good as won the title, the Rangers manager as good as concedes the title.

“And the first thing on Gary’s mind is the referee. I mean, do people never ever celebrate anymore?”

For the record, I don’t agree it was a red card but I also wouldn’t deny a fans opinion on the tackle then make a broad statement about the Celtic fans that Hugh did.

It was one fan. Offering an opinion. The premise the show is based on.

I’m also sure there are many fans that thought Celtic were the better team but they don’t speak for the whole of the support.

A strange comment to make indeed.

Big calls right? Clear barge by the prolific penalty taker on Jota right in front of him,no effort to play the ball.Starfelt on long burst out of defence taken out, advantage played but not even a word to player involved in cynical foul let alone a card.Big GG goes down after clash of heads,Beaton waves play on and OFfc get good opportunity to score while GG slowly gets to his feet.Just 3 of the many honest mistakes,he’s not abysmal Beaton,he knows exactly what he’s doing.
