As Celtic released their video of the latest training session at Lennoxtown, it gave the club the opportunity to show off the new recruits taking part in Ange’s first session with the whole squad since the Japanese trio of Ideguchi, Hatate and Maeda joined the club.

But there was one glaring omission that should have made Celtic fans sit up and take notice.

No Jota.

The Portuguese winger has been out with a hamstring injury for the last four weeks and it was hoped that he would have been returning to training sooner rather than later as the Hoops look to return to first team action in just over a week.

Jota has been outstanding for Celtic since his arrival in the summer and the understanding he has developed with Kyogo has been impressive as the two have terrorised defences in the first half of the season.

In his eighteen appearances for Celtic, Jota has scored eight goals and assisted six, including that sublime Europa League goal where he and Kyogo combined to score what is now known as the tournaments best group stage goal.

The Hoops fans will be looking forward to seeing Jota back in action and teaming up with the Japanese boys as the assault to win the league really starts to take shape.

The only problem is, when will we see him again?
