You have got to love Ange. No sooner had the Hearts manager said the referee won the game for Celtic, the big Aussie gaffer was down on it like a ton of bricks.

With tensions running high post match, Hearts manager, Robbie Nielson, claimed that Celtic didn’t win the match, it was referee Bobby Madden.

The interview aired on BBC Sportsound immediately after the match and Ange’s reply was first class.

This was put to the Celtic gaffer by BBC reporter Jane Lewis, but Ange was in no mood for the gloss to be taken off the shine of a fine home win as he hit back, “That means the referee’s on three points. So, he’s still the bottom of the table isn’t he?”

“If anyone thinks the referee decided that game you’re watching a different game than I am.”

And poor Jane Lewis. I don’t think she knew what to say.

For all Hearts endeavour, they never really tested the Celtic keeper with anything substantial so I can see why Postecoglou took issue with the Hearts manager’s comments.

As Celtic look to continue their challenge for the title, the team took a battering on the injury front with three players taken off.

Jota, Stephen Welsh and Anthony Ralston were all casualties of last nights battle and we will soon see the extent of the crisis as the day goes on.
