All week we have been hearing about how the financial rewards for Celtic will be huge when they complete their tour of Australia in November.

Ange Postecoglou himself has said that the following Down Under is massive for the Parkhead club so imagine my surprise when I hear the kick360 podcast absolutely slated the move and made an astonishing Celtic and Ange Postecoglou claim that will leave most fans scratching their heads, “I just think that it’s not going to be very interesting.

“Obviously we know that the Old F*rm when it’s in Scotland and fighting for league titles or cups is one of the most fiercest sport rivalries.

“But I just don’t think that’s going to transport to Down Under in Sydney and I honestly don’t think that the sporting public outside of football fans is really going to appreciate that.

“They’re just going to see two Scottish teams that they’ve probably just barely heard of.

“And there’s also Postecoglou as well but, the same thing outside of football circles, how much is Postecoglou really known?

“So I just don’t think it’s going to create that interest. That’s just more me being cynical and generally against friendlies like this where teams come from Europe just for a bit of money.

“On the whole I’ve got very dim views on the whole of them coming down, the big fanfare and Ange coming down to the big fanfare and just, this tournament they’re trying to make out of it with the Wanderers and Sydney FC as well.

“It just all seems a bit ‘Meh’ to me.”

So it seems that the move has not gone down well Down Under and I was genuinely surprised at the negativity shown by the podcaster as all I’ve seen so far is the trumpeting from online media sources that this is going to be a huge hit.
