Time To Pick Up Where We Left Off- Opinion

The resumption of the SPFL is a welcome return after an uninspiring winter World Cup that has not grabbed mine or many other football fans attention. Today Celtic is back to resume a season where they are already dominant. Posting an impressive nine-point lead before the break. At lunchtime we have the chance to resume that lead and put real pressure on any rivals going into the winter series of fixtures.

We resume with one of the tougher fixtures in our calendar. A trip to Pittodrie is never an easy game, particularly in winter, the cold North East wind will make any challenge sting a little more. As always these days we don’t look to these fixtures concerned but rather as an opportunity to set the marker for the season. I mentioned in an earlier article today that I have been impressed with what Jim Goodwin is trying to do at Aberdeen. He has them playing well in patches, but ultimately it is the level of consistency that is letting them down.

It is also what highlights our own quality. Other than a blip to St Mirren, we have shown up all season. Hopefully we will be boosted by our Captain Marvel, Callum McGregor returning today as well. The scary thing for the rest of the league is that before the break we were 9 points clear, with a goal difference of 37 in an early season where our attackers have been misfiring. If we get our scoring boots on we will destroy not just Aberdeen today but the rest of the league.

Welcome back Bhoys, we’ve not half missed you!

Celtic hold the record for most Scottish Cup Final wins. Who scored the winners in these TEN finals?
