Playing reserve or development football can go one of two ways, Jeremie Frimpong made it impossible for Neil Lennon to ignore him whereas Jack Hendry is further from the first-team than ever after being sent off against a Brentford B team as reported in The Daily Record.

Hendry has just 11 minutes of action this season in the league cup after only playing 15 times last term and really has no way back unless there is a sudden and severe injury crisis in the Hoops defence.

The centre-half has been linked with a move away from Parkhead but nothing concrete has come to fruition, the January transfer window can’t come soon enough for either party as the 24-year-old will be looking for first-team football in a bid to reignite his distant international hopes.
