VAR Proves We Can Never Stop- Opinion

If VAR has proved one thing it is the need for Celtic to take a higher percentage of the chances they create within a game.

With 2 games left before the World Cup takes over our screens, keeping our 7-point lead or indeed potentially extending it should be the only priority for us moving into this last week. Having 10 chances in a game and winning 1-0 is not a risk we can conceivably take anymore. Thanks to the introduction of VAR, or rather the opportunity this is providing some officials to interpret rules to the detriment of our club, any ball hitting a hand, any slight touch on a player in the box will be deemed a penalty.

It was our incredible fighting spirit and belief in our mantra of never giving up which gave us all three points against Dundee United on Saturday. Motherwell have already proven tough opposition for us away from home and it will be important that we are at the top of our game.

We now have to have a mindset that any opportunity to give something against us will happen, therefore we must make sure we are ahead by two clear goals as much as possible. A tough game awaits us tonight, but another opportunity to further cement our place at the top of the table.

Who were Celtic’s most expensive transfers these seasons?
