Celtic’s transfer business has been well-documented over the last week or so.

With Ange Postecoglou alluding to the January window in yesterday’s pre-match press conference that all the planning for the upcoming transfer window is already completed, the  Celtic gaffer has said that he is looking to plan for next SUMMER.

This will be music to the Celtic fan’s ears as this king of pre-planning is something we are simply not used to.

The club have been heavily linked to Yuki Kobayashi and journalist, Dean Jones, reckons that this is a move that will go ahead in January.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Jones said, “I think this one should go ahead, and Celtic fans should be excited by it.

“He’ll add a real steel to the squad and the team, and he can also dictate games, which is something that would be really interesting to see.”

Kobayashi is a 22-year-old Japanese u22 international and is well thought of in his homeland.

Vital Celtic wrote just yesterday that J League journalist Sacha Pisani couldn’t believe that Celtic could be set to land him for free and, to be honest, it does seem like a bit of a coup for the club.

Kobayashi made 41 appearances for Vissel Kobe last season, picking up four yellows and a solitary red card. The previous season he made 32 appearances picking up only one yellow card.

This shows that the Japanese defender is disciplined in his approach and calm under pressure. A must-have for any defence.

Whoever identified the player and alerted him to Ange should receive a huge pat on the back as it does seem that we are getting on of Japan’s top prospects for absolutely zilch!

Who were Celtic’s most expensive transfers these seasons?
