Now that domestic business for the weekend is done, we look to the second leg of the Europa Conference League against Bodo Glimt and how we can progress to the next round.

But to do that, we need to look over the wreckage of the first leg and how it went so wrong.

Speaking to the fans on The Athletic, Kieran Devlin gave his reasons on why he thought the game was so poor for the home side and three players he felt didn’t step up to the mark when needed, “Thursday was a sore one. Watching the game back it was clear the biggest deciding factor was decision-making and quality in the final third.

“Jota, Abada and Rogic all so, so poor in that regard, while Bodo took their only two chances. Celtic struggled to create many at all.

“Win important as much for morale as anything else, and ironically this is the game I would have chosen to rotate Hatate for.

“Writing something on Celtic’s 18 years of underperformance in Europe this week.

“Lot of varying important factors for each fixture – from lack of squad preparedness to individual tactics for each game – but I do think what spans all of them is an institutional attitude where Europe, especially after Christmas, is seen as a bonus/side-show rather than being an integral part of the club’s ambitions.”

Celtic will need to score three to progress, which is not insurmountable, but do we have it in us to keep the back door closed.

This is a weakness that has been exposed time and again in Europe for Ange’s boys.

Can he fix it in time for Thursday?

We certainly hope so.

Who the f##k is Kieran Devlin???
You win as a team and lose as a team. He’s talking sh. Several reasons for losing, but it’s done and we move on. KD (whoever he is)

The defence was totally to blame for Bodo defeat. The poorest player on the park was Taylor and Hart had a poor game. If your team scores and the defence keeps a clean sheet you win.

Forget this cup and send over players that need game time. The league is number one priority
