It was a pretty drab result last night at Kilmarnock and we’ve certainly seen a few of them this year, it has to be said.
I’m not going to tear into Brendan and the Bhoys because, after all, we’re on for another treble but it is fair to say that we’ve not really matched last year’s performances.
I didn’t expect to go unbeaten, of course, but the amount of draws like this has been something that we’ve failed to address and need to do so next season.
Let’s look at Brendan’s take on the result, then, and the reaction to that:
Brendan Rodgers says the positive from tonight's goal-less draw with @OfficialKillie was players getting game-time who had been on the sidelines.

Game time is doing nothing for me chucking away money on Celtic at the bookies, is it now Brendan?

Performance was no different to dozens of other games this season, so why not give them game time then?

We rested players for the CL, made no difference. We haven’t a clue how to breakdown teams that sit in.Waits till 70 mins to make changes. Feel sorry for those who paid to watch that and the predictable post match comments.

The Verdict
We’ve not been as good as last year and that needs to be addressed but, equally, let’s not utterly batter the lads for what has been another great season.
We do need to add boldly in the summer, though, especially to make an impression in Europe better than we have recently.
