“We had a heart to heart” Frimpong reveals turning point

|

As Celtic prepare to face Dundee Utd at Celtic Park tomorrow at 3pm, Jeremie Frimpong reveals how the squad dealt with run of disappointing results in the pre match conference video call.  Broadcast on Celtic TV,  Frimpong was asked a host of questions on how the team have managed to turn around their fortunes on the park, off the park.

The young Dutchman revealed, “Obviously, we spoke together as a team that we’ve got to do better and ever since then, we’ve trained well, obviously you can see that from the performances.

“No one likes to lose and we were drawing as well. We didn’t like the feeling so obviously everyone wanted to win so everyone just said, we’re sick of losing and drawing so we just changed it around and just.

“We all came together and we just we just said, it’s part of the game that we’re not always going to win, it can’t always go our way. And so the manager instructs players to block the noise”

Asked if the players felt the league title is slipping away, Frimpong said,  “Not at all. There’s plenty more games left. Like I said, you win some, you lose some. And obviously, you do have to block the noises of course. Sometimes it can get a bit bad and the manager has mentioned consistently about the team going on a run…..the players we have are capable of winning”

Frimpong does admit that there are aspects of his game that he needs to improve on, more specifically his final ball, “I get into the positions a lot where I beat my guy. And then it’s just my end product. So yeah, I’ve been working on it. Obviously, I want to help the team as much as possible. So to do that, I have to be able to work on things.”
