Celtic are being very active in this transfer window and it will be a delight to all Hoops fans.
Normally a damp squib, the January window down Parkhead way usually passes by without much fanfare or signings of note to whet the appetite of the fans.
But this year? It’s a whole new ball game.
Celtic sealed their FOURTH signing of the window yesterday and if reports are to be believed today, it looks like the fifth might not be too far behind either with Riley McRee being lined up as another addition to the squad.
But it doesn’t look like that will be the end of transfer business for the Parkhead side.
Boss, Ange Postecoglou, gave an update [Glasgow Times] on the state of play so far and hinted that there may yet be more incomings, “Look, [I expect it will be] not too busy, but we’ve got to stay agile during this period.
“We’ve had a couple of players go out on loan which I think is important, so we’re looking at the squad the whole time, and through the whole January window we’ll make sure what we’ll need, if it’s available we’ll bring it in.
“With the existing squad we’ll make sure we’re continuing to develop our football.
“I don’t expect it to be too hectic, but we’ll stay alert and make sure if the right thing comes along in terms of incomings and outgoings, we’ll be able to move.”
This will be good news to the ears of the Hoops fans who will be hoping that another central defender and left back may be on the transfer agenda as the business end of the season looms.
