We all know Ange Postecoglou is a class act.
After almost two years at the club, Ange has revolutionised not only the club but our full operating structure.
We are seeing radical changes to how we conduct our transfer business and how we play our football and it is fair to say that the fans are loving it.
But, as we all know too well, because Ange is plying his trade in the Scottish league, he is not being taken seriously by our footballing cousins south of the border.
But a survey YouGov, which was commissioned by Betfair and reported by Football London, asked over 1,700 football supporters to decide who the best and worst performing managers were in British football this season.
They were given a list of 10 managers from England and Scotland and were asked to rate the job each manager was doing this season out of 10.
The full ratings were as follows:
- Mikel Arteta (Arsenal) – 9/10
- Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) – 8/10
- Erik ten Hag (Manchester United) – 8/10
- Eddie Howe (Newcastle United) – 8/10
- Ange Postecoglu (Celtic) – 8/10
- Michael Beale (Rangers) – 7/10
- Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool) – 7/10
- Graham Potter (Chelsea) – 5/10
- Antonio Conte (Tottenham) – 5/10
- David Moyes (West Ham) – 5/10
As you can see, Ange is ranked on par with Pep Guardiola, Erik ten Hag and Eddie Howe.
The job the big Aussie has done at Celtic has been nothing short of remarkable and at least now, he seems to be getting a modicum of recognition by fans of the EPL.
