Celtic B twitter has just announced that 20 year old Brody Patterson has sealed a move to Scottish League 1 side Airdrie.

The talented young left back has been in great form for the B team this season but has now been farmed out to the Lanarkshire club in a bid to get him some further first team action.

This will be Patterson’s second loan spell away from the Hoops where he spent a season at Queens Park making fifteen appearances for The Spiders last term.

Speaking of that move Patterson said [Celtic FC official website], “At Queen’s Park I was playing against men who are playing for their livelihood.

“They’ve got to play for mortgages, kids – it just means that little bit extra to them. It was a really good experience.”

Speaking of his own game and who he models himself on, the youngster said that former Celt Kieran Tierney is the one he looked at for inspiration, “It’s the mentality and dedication that he shows.

“Everyone who’s been here knows he was a winner, ruthless and relentless, and that’s something I’ve always tried to implement into my game as well.”

It is clear that Patterson has high standards that he adheres to and if he is half the player that Tierney turned into, Celtic have a real star on their hands.

Patterson made his debut last night for The Diamonds with an 83rd minute appearance in a 2-2 draw.
