Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna’s latest performance for Scotland has further confused Celtic fans regarding the club’s transfer interest in him this summer.
The Hoops made a bid for the Dons centre-back in the midst of our search to add much needed numbers to our defensive line in August, which was swiftly rejected by the Pittodrie outfit.
Brendan Rodgers is on record speaking about his admiration for the player, but fans don’t really understand why having watched him in action for Scotland this week.
He started the 3-1 defeat to Portugal on Sunday, with the away side dominating the national team at Hampden for the majority of the 90 minutes.
With pretty much everyone looking unsure at the back, McKenna was by no means alone with a sub-par performance, but didn’t convince anyone either.
Hoops fans took to Twitter to discuss his performance…

Hendry, McKenna and O’Donnell in the same Scotland defence is tragic.

Fairly certain I’ve awoken in cold sweats over a Jack Hendry/Scott McKenna partnership
