Celtic fans are excited about the arrival of Maryan Shved after Ukrainian club Karpaty Lviv said goodbye to him this weekend.

Karpaty confirmed he has left them after the end of their season, posting an exciting highlights video to their Twitter page that has Hoops supporters drooling.

All the evidence points to Shved being an exciting, dynamic, pacy and skilful winger who can really push for a first-team place next season.

Scoring 15 goals and assisting four times for his club this term, he’s emerged as one of the outstanding talents in all of Ukraine and at 21-years-old has plenty of potential too.

James Forrest has been one of Celtic’s stand-outs this season, but he’ll have serious competition on the right flank in 2019/20, which can only be a benefit to the club and Forrest himself, who is often overplayed.

Hoops fans will have to wait until pre-season friendlies or European qualifiers to see him in action due to FIFA transfer rules, but hopefully he can settle well in Scotland and live up to the hype.

These supporters have taken to Twitter this weekend to share their excitement about his arrival…
