Highly respected journalist Alan Nixon has given the Celtic fans a little transfer teaser when quizzed by a Hoops fan for some possible signings for the Parkhead club.
Nixon is highly thought of amongst the Celtic fan base and when he talks, the fans tend to listen.
The reporter was asked from a twitter used if there was anything inbound for Celtic and Nixon said, “If they take one of these Edouard bids then it changes the game … will be able to get better targets.”
And therein lies the question. What better targets does he mean?
Does it hint towards a move for Filipe Jota? Or the Giorgos Giakoumakis move being finalised?
Or is there another couple of transfer targets on the go that we do not know about?
This latest tweet was just over 24 hours after Nixon told of the interest in Edouard via twitter late last night when he tweeted, “Odsonne Edouard fever. Crystal Palace have now made an official offer. In 15m region. Close to Rubin Kazan and with Bordeaux also involved. Celtic have their auction …”
As we look forward to the Glasgow Derby on Sunday, that game in particular will be a good barometer of where the team is at, especially after taking care of the Dutch cracks AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League qualifier on Thursday night.
Ange has promised signings and it looks like he is about to deliver but will they ALL depend on whether or not Odsonne Edouard leaves this window?
