Got to love them. The gift that keeps on giving, Rangers are a law unto themselves in the Scottish game and the more they give us headlines, the more we continue to laugh at them.

Take the contract status of Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent for example.

Both players touted for moves worth a gazillion dollars each not so long ago, not the club stand to lose them for nothing.

And the best part?

Even now, at March, there are still no takers for them. Not one. Even though they are eligible to speak to clubs.

And don’t believe the hype of Leeds and Seville. If either of those clubs where interested in them, both of them would have signed the contracts before they had the chance to put the phone down on the conversation.

And former Celti Frank McAvennie knows it.

He also can’t believe they are about to lose them for nothing but hit home a truth that will be a hard reality for both players to accept.

No one wants them.

“Even if they got £1m or £2m for each of them, it is better than absolutely nothing,” he told Football Insider.

“I just do not know why they would not have done that, it beggars belief. I can’t believe that they would do that.

“The players would have told Rangers if they were staying or leaving. They might stay and the only reason they will want to stay is because they are not getting any offers.

“I can’t see a queue for Morelos or even Kent. Morelos is still nowhere near what he was and I am just thinking if he wants a move he has got to do it on the pitch.

“It is a strange one what is going to happen with these boys. Only the board will know why they have done this. If they have done it because they think Celtic are going to drop points then it has backfired big time.“

Not getting any offers. Even now.

Players who were both compared to Dembele and Jota have not so much had any admiring glances towards them.

Is it because the media in overseas countries are not as thick as the journalists here and know a player when they see one?

You bet it is.
