It’s not very often you hear Brazilian and Celtic together and it’s a positive story.

For example, Raphael Scheidt. Brazilian. Goes well by his second name.

Juninho. Brazilian. Did ok, but not a great.

But this time it’s the turn of legendary Brazilian sports commentator Cleber Machado.

Machado has been commenting on sports and football in the country for nigh on 45 years so you would think his knowledge of the club would be absolutely spot on right?

Wrong.

Not only did the commentator get the country we are from wrong, it was so wrong that even his fellow countrymen rinsed him for it:

Translated as: Cléber Machado: “Juranovic plays for Celtic in England” My friend, calling Celtic an English club is an insult to the club’s supporters. Celtic fans:

After all the publicity that the fans have had over the last few months regarding our stance on the monarchy, you would think that even someone with his experience would not make this mistake.

Hell, do the tricolours not give the game away?

At least someone from his country got it right so I’m sure he won’t make that same mistake again!

If you know your history – How good is your Celtic trivia knowledge?
