Earlier I wrote about the media’s attempt to create unrest in the Celtic camp by claiming that two of our players will be leaving in January. Yet over the road they are lavish in their praise of new boss Micheal Beale. Despite the fact that we are rolling in the league, with a 9 point lead and already investing heavily again in improving our squad with one January signing in the bag and a second potentially on the way by the start of December.
Yet you would think we are falling apart from the media perspective and that the team up the road has all the momentum moving forward. Instead the opposite is true, with numerous players with 6 months left on their contracts, free to negotiate with other teams in 31 days. They have a dressing room in disarray and a new manager who is unproven, who if you were to listen to some QPR fans, took 4 games before other Championship teams figured out his style and they then lost four games on the bounce.
Reality is not something that is a concern of the Scottish media, neither is balance or integrity. Instead it will continue to pursue an agenda to put pressure on our manager and players while giving an easy ride to The Rangers. Unfortunately, for the media and the team in blue, our squad, our players and especially our gaffer is made of much sterner stuff. It wont take long until the screw will start to be turned on the Ibrox team, and it will begin by January 2nd.
