Ryan Christie agreed fresh terms with Celtic earlier this week, and that means he’s now set to remain at the club for the foreseeable future. Based on his recent form, that’s great news for the club.
However, more new deals are required in order to ensure long-term stability at Celtic Park, and one man that certainly needs to get tied down is Dedryck Boyata. His contract expires at the end of the season, and so far, he’s yet to come to close to renewing.
This needs to change, and according to a lot of Celtic fans, it needs to change fast.
We recently asked Celtic supporters whether a new deal for Boyata should be a priority, and in response, a whopping 75% of polled Celtic fans think that it should be.
Clearly, fans are eager to keep hold of Boyata, and it’s easy to see why.
The defender has been as solid as a rock this season, and whilst some of Celtic’s defenders haven’t looked too good, he’s only gotten better.
The longer he stays, the better it is for Celtic.
