Celtic have bags of young players with lots of potential, but only very few of them will make it into the first team. The reality is that it’s so difficult to make it at Celtic Park, and only the best will survive.

One man that certainly has a chance of doing just that is Daniel Church. The young defender has impressed during his time in the Celtic academy, and he earned a new deal earlier this year.

We recently asked fans whether they think he’s got a future at Celtic, and it appears as though the young defender is a popular man with supporters.

In response, 87% of those polled have voted in favour of Church making it, whilst just 13% of them clearly are expecting less.

That’s certainly a pretty one-sided response, and that goes to show just how highly rated he is at Celtic. With so much talent ahead of him in the team, it won’t be easy, so it will be interesting to see if the fans are right in a few years.

In terms of what he can bring, it’s evident that he’s got a lot of natural talent. He’s risen through the ranks in the Celtic academy very quickly, and that has naturally led to an international call with the u-19 Scotland team. A natural left-back, he’s a pretty versatile player, which should help him out.

Interestingly, back in 2016 – according to ESPN –  Man Utd were tracking him, and so that says a lot about how highly-rated he is around the country. He’s only gotten better since then, too.

It won’t be easy for him, but fans are clearly eager for him to get a chance in the first team – even if he is yet to get his debut.
