As Celtic announced the arrival of new manager Ange Postecoglou, former Rangers player  Barry Ferguson, and now pundit on The Go Radio Football Show, has tipped the Hoops for a major cash boost.

Not for the first time, Ferguson has tipped Kieran Tierney for a big money move to one of the English top four clubs and he reckons mega rich Manchester City will be first in line to tempt the Scotland star away from the Emirates, “I think he’s a top player. I thought he was very good at Celtic, then he got his  move down to Arsenal but I think he’s went up a couple of levels. I think Arsenal may struggle to keep him and it wouldn’t surprise me if a Man City comes in to try and sign him. I do think he’s the stand out player in the Scotland squad.

“He’s a top top player for me and you love seeing people leaving the Scottish Premier League to see how they are going to do in the English Premier League. How are they going to do? You watch him on Sky,  we hear that the pundits talk after about him after the games, and everybody’s so positive him. They love him down there.”

With the flying left back valued at an astounding £70-£80m and with Celtic reportedly having a 20% sell on clause if Tierney does get his move, the Hoops could be in line for a minimum of £9m pay day if the sell on clause is based on a percent of profit and that is something the new Celtic manager could do with to help rebuild the squad.
