“Better to stick with what you have if no one is in place” – Pundit on Lennon

|

There has been a lot said about the Celtic managers position over the last few months. Neil Lennon has been asked on numerous occasions if he is worried about his position or if he will resign as the results are simply not good enough.

We all know the answer to all those questions posed but Clyde 1 Superscoreboard pundit and journalist, Mark Guidi, says there is absolutely no point in changing the manager if there is no one yet lined up to take over.

Guidi said on last nights show, “It’s only good to take swift action. If you’ve got the right people ready to come in. So, if they don’t have the right people to come in and then it’s better sticking with the people that you’ve got.

“Chelsea got rid of Frank Lampard because Thomas Tuchel was ready to come in. But we don’t know if that’s the case for Celtic. We don’t know if Neil Lennon is going to be given until the end of May or if he’s going to be given a chance to try and put a run of wins together and restore some confidence.

“We don’t know if he’s going to be getting the chance to win the Scottish Cup and we are not so sure the Scottish Cup’s going to go ahead this season. There’s a chance it may be pulled.

“It’s the whole of Celtic football club needs to be to be looked at because it’s on a whole collectively, it’s not been performing well enough.”
