The Bhoys have announced that young Jamie Lindsay is to pursue his career away from Celtic for the foreseeable future as he moves to Ross County.

The midfielder spent last season on loan at Dingwall and made over 30 appearances as well as chipping in with a handful of goals.

It wasn’t enough to keep them up, though, and so they’ll be battling to get promoted back to the top flight in 2018/19.

He’ll be a part of that as well, then, with a permanent deal being signed with County and it’ll be interesting to see how he progresses from afar now his future is sorted.

The Verdict

Good luck to the lad, it’s a deal that makes perfect sense for all involved.

They keep a player who is clearly important to them, he gets more minutes to improve and hone his skills and we free up a space for a better option to take in 2018/19.
