According to the Daily Record, Sunderland have joined Celtic in the race for Greg Taylor as the Hoops look to complete a late summer swoop for the recently capped Scotland left-back.

The young defender has got plenty of quality and has shown that for Kilmarnock in recent seasons with some of the football he has played for them.

Indeed, it’s led to his call-up for the Scotland squad in recent times and Steve Clarke is evidently a fan of his.

With Kieran Tierney leaving the Hoops earlier this summer for Arsenal, too, it seems as though we are fans of Taylor’s as well, but Sunderland are also keen.

The Black Cats have a knack of going after Scottish players under Jack Ross and so hopefully that will not sway him to join them.

Win trophies or play in League One, though? I know what I would rather pick if I were Taylor.
