According to the Daily Record, the Hoops are in for Welsh winger, Rabbi Matondo, who has found life difficult in Germany with Schalke since his £11m move in 2019 with only 30 appearances in three seasons.

Matondo has failed to settle with the newly promoted Bundesliga club and has found himself out on loan twice in his short career. At Stoke in January 2021 where he made 11 appearances and then at Belgian side Ceracle Brugge where he was more successful with 26 appearances, scoring nine times.

It seems now the Welsh international wants out of Germany and the Hoops have been credited with interest along with city rivals Rangers and English sides Fulham and Bournemouth.

The 21 year old started his career at Cardiff City back in 2006 and was later snapped up by Manchester City in 2017 for a £500,000 compensation fee.

He looks set to be heading to the World Cup in Qatar in December and must be looking at a move to ensure his place in the Welsh side is booked for the big winter tournament.

A move to Paradise would certainly appeal to the Welsh winger and he may look at Cameron Carter-Vickers international recall as a sign that a move to the Scottish champions can have a positive impact on your international career.
