It seems Celtic’s youths are the envy of football clubs Europe wide.

With young stars like Cameron Harper, Liam Hughes, Liam Morrison, Barry Hepburn and Vincent Angelini all leaving he club in the summer, it seems yet another of Celtic’s highly rated youngsters could be set to leave the club in the near future.

According to Football Scotland, young 15 year old academy prospect Rory Mahady is being tracked by English Premiership side Manchester City.

The report claims that City have been monitoring the youngster and have watched him a number of times over the last few months.

Mahady has represented his country at u16 level and impressed as the young Scots picked up the Victory Shield this year.

City are no strangers to raiding the Parkhead youth set up as they already recruited Josh Adam and they see Mahady as another candidate worthy of joining their elite youth set up.

The Celtic fans will be left wondering what is going on at the club if yet another bright young talent is allowed to leave the club.

The future for the young Hoops is probably more prosperous now than at any other time under any other Celtic manager, as Ange Postecoglou is more willing to give Celtic’s youngsters a chance as we have seen with Steven Welsh, Anthony Ralston, Adam Montgomery, Dane Murry and Ewan Henderson all tasting first team action under the new Celtic gaffer.

One would hope that the next crop of young stars coming through will see that and inspire them to stick around and achieve their dream of pulling on the famous Hoops.
