As Celtic continue their search for defensive cover this summer, they have been urged to sign a nineteen year old who has been dubbed better than priority signing Aurelio Buta.
As Celtic signing policy continues to be questioned by sections of the media AND the fans, it seems the football site Football Fancast has urged the club to look at young nineteen year old full back Yan Couto as a better option to Buta in the right full back position.
At the moment, Celtic are being forced to play out of favour Scottish right back Anthony Ralston and whilst he has been equipping himself adequately over the course of the last few games, including scoring an impressive equaliser for the Hoops against Hearts at Tynecastle, it is clear that he does not suit Ange Postecoglou‘s inverted wingback system.
Aurelio Buta seems to be earmarked as the ideal man to fit the role Postecoglou is looking to fill, but the guys at Football Fancast have said they should be looking to Couto instead.
Football talent scout Jacek Kulig has compiled a report on the young Brazilian full back and his stats are very impressive.
Couto currently plays for Coritiba FC in the Brazilian Serie B, but looking at his stats below, he could be ideal for the Celtic system.
19-year-old Manchester City loanee Yan Couto has been named the best right-back in Segunda División this season.

Twenty five games with two goals and five assists make his attacking qualities appealing to Postecoglou and defensively he is very solid as well and at just nineteen years old, he also fits into the current Celtic recruitment plans.
With thirteen u17 caps for Brazil, he is also one to watch for development into the full international squad.
