Celtic post impressive player stats

|

This Celtic side are very impressive. Probably the most impressive side since Martin O’Neill’s Seville team. Possibly even better.

In football terms obviously, not in honours. Yet.

And that is down to Ange Postecoglous’s excellent recruitment.

The Celtic boss has had very little signing failures since his arrival at the club. I can think of only two in Yosuke Ideguchi and Oliver Abildgaard.

And impressive strike rate that any manager will be proud of.

There was one player that may have entered that bracket after a not so impressive start to his Celtic career but since returning from the Qatar World Cup, he has been an almost different player.

Aaron Mooy has been central to the team success since the start of the year and the Celtic fans are loving him.

Cool and calm on the ball, the big Aussie has been a touch of class that we have missed in the middle of the park since Tom Rogic left in the summer.

And Celtic posted on their official Twitter some very impressive stats since Mooy joined us last summer:

Mooy brings a good blend of experience and guile to the Celtic side. He is also pushing Matt O’Riley for his place in the middle of the park and at just 21 years old, that can only be a good thing to help aid the Danish u21 stars’ development.

I have no doubt, that with a year left to run on his contract, that Ange Postecoglou will look to extend his stay in Glasgow for a further year as I believe he still has a lot to give to this side.

Call yourself a true Celtic fan? How well do you know the European Cup winning season?
