Celtic “seriously” targeting future England superstar

|

Celtic are reportedly in the mix to sign English teenage sensation Aaron Ramsey. The youngster is out of contract in the summer and seemingly Celtic are seriously looking to secure the England u-17 International.

Ramsey is currently under contract at Villa and are fighting to secure Ramsey’s signature but fear that interest from both Celtic and Ajax may turn the young man’s head.

Ramsey would be welcomed to Celtic Park with his current England U-17 team mate Karamoko Dembele, assuming the young forward extends his contract at Paradise.

Ramsey has yet to feature in the Villa first team but so far this season the attacking midfielder has appeared for his club in the u-18 Premier League on nine occasions and scoring three goals.

According to media reports in England there are a host of European clubs after the young midfielders signature but Celtic and Ajax are leading the race.

Villa are bracing themselves for offers in this window and if Ramsey agrees to a move they will be undoubtedly losing one of their best prospects from their youth academy.

Celtic would no doubt be delighted to get this deal over the line as they have so far lost out on a host of potential targets this window.

This latest news may disappoint the Parkhead faithful as they will be looking for a “ready made” signing to make an instant impact on the first team to improve their fortunes on the pitch rather than another “project signing” to close that points gap at the top of the table.
