According to Teamtalk, Celtic have enquired about the availability of Paddy McNair with the versatile star apparently available for the right price.
McNair was a youngster at Manchester United but could not really make the grade there and has since played for both Sunderland and Middlesbrough.
Indeed, it is at Boro where he resides at the moment but, according to this latest report, the Teessiders are willing to let him leave for the right price.
They are thought to be open to offers, then, and Celtic have reportedly enquired about the player’s availability this summer.
A player that can operate in midfield or in defence, McNair has a real air of versatility about him but it is clear that his career has stalled slightly.
A move to Celtic might be what he needs, then, but he will have to prove himself if he does come up here after a couple of tough seasons – particularly at Boro.
