“Celtic will hoping to get him and others” – Roger Hannah drops massive Celtic transfer hint

The announcement that Celtic were set to close the deal for Hammarby left back Mohanad Jeazhe hit the online news agencies quickly last night.

After weeks of speculation, Vital Celtic reported last night that The Sun had broken the story that Ange Postecoglou’s summer reinforcements plan is already underway with the imminent signing of Jeahze.

Speaking about the move last night on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Roger Hannah confirmed the news and seemed to drop a hint that others may be on the way real soon, “I believe that they are very, very close to a deal to secure the left back from Hammarby, an Iraqi with the name of Mohanad Jeahze.

“Very highly rated in the Swedish league.

“He’s been high up Celtics wish list for many, many weeks.

“I believe that a deal is very, very close.

“The fee will be something in the region of £2m and Celtic will hoping to get him, and others, for the start of the pre season.

“No European qualifiers remember for Celtic. No league cup games to worry about and it can be a very, very important pre season for Ange Postecoglou.

“He wants to get the new players in early.”

It would be interesting to find out if Hannah had any idea who these ‘others’ are but he wasn’t pressed on his point by the host Gordon Duncan.

But it wouldn’t matter anyway because as we all know with Ange, his transfer business is done swiftly and efficiently and generally catches the news outlets off guard.
