Celtic’s Leigh Griffiths is a troubled soul. Of that there is no doubt.

For two seasons now he has been on the sidelines at Celtic Park, struggling to to make the breakthrough to the first team.

Many will point to his off field antics and say that it’s his own fault, and it would be hard to argue with that, but the former Scotland striker seemed to have bought himself a second chance under Ange Postecoglou.

The new Hoops gaffer showed some faith in Griffiths in the summer and offered him a one year contract extension but again, off field issues have come back to bite the Celtic gaffer, and Griffiths found himself further out of the picture.

Now that the enigmatic striker has found himself a new club, on loan at Dundee, Dens midfielder Charlie Adam has revealed Griffiths relationship with Postecoglou in an interview with PLZ Soccer, “I’m looking forward to seeing him play for us. You know I was chatting to him yesterday at training and he was delighted to come.

“And he couldn’t speak highly enough of the Celtic manager. He said he was open and honest with him and it’s good to see.

“Hopefully he can come and enjoy his football.”

“It’s the game time. He wasn’t going to get the game time. The sharpness. He wasn’t gonna get that at Celtic.

“He’ll get that with us. So that will make him better. That will improve him. And listen he’ll score goals, we know that and I just want to see a happy Leigh Griffiths scoring goals.”

So it seems Griffiths has a lot of time, and respect, for Ange which may lead him to believe that he still has a future at Celtic Park.

Me? I think his days at Paradise are over.
